About Mall of Hope, INC

Christopher Jones, President of Mall of Hope, Inc. has formulated a Non-Profit that is dynamic in every way. In 2013, the intent of making a difference in the lives around us gave birth to the Mall of Hope, Inc. Meeting personal challenges in life help us relate to the problems of others. Some of these issues are as follows;

  1. Losing his mom July 2, 2021 from Cancer after having to take care of her 18 hours a day watch her scream and cry in agony. Then being told to leave the place mom was staying at so the landlord could demolish the building removing his shelter after already going through a divorce in the beginning of the year of 2021 due to infidelity that was long overdue. A few weeks after being told to be out in 6 weeks before the time expired was in a car accident with his grandmother. Only to find out in November that his grandmother has cancer 2 stage 3 after losing his mom to stage 4. Both his mom and grandmom had the same type of cancer.

  1. On the verge of being truly homeless both in 2010 where in order to have shelter had to work for free for a motel in Ohio for almost 2 months. Then again in 2016 where had to work to provide funds for the motel stay for an entire year after losing the place he was living at due to the actions of others.

  1. Issues finding work after going through college for a Bachelors Degree in the field of study.

  1. Going in and out of major debt barely maintaining ability to survive due to lack of pay and local work.

  1. Having health issues that make some parts of life not as easy as others.

  1. As well as presently in a relationship that is long distance due to the pandemic making it impossible to see each other.

  1. Having abusive step fathers as well as being in relationships with individuals who have cheated on him.

Though there were many twists and turns along the way the President of Mall of Hope, Inc. never lost his original vision. He decided to dedicate his life to help others. It took years of overcoming various struggles to finally create this 501c3 nonprofit. As we look forward to improving the future of those less fortunate, we must always remember how we worked hard to keep our own faith and hope from wavering. This is the foundation upon which we build a future that gives hope to others and makes the world a better place. This also helped to create the belief that in our life we own nothing, everything we have is borrowed even if we work for it because we do not know how long we have to live and nothing can go with us in the time of the end. We only have the memories we have and the memories we leave behind.
